August 12, 2010

The meeting was opened by the President, Vince, K4JC @ 7:30PM.  The Pledge was presented and members and guests introduced themselves and are shown on the included sheet. (15 in attendance)

The minutes of the two previous meetings were read and a motion for the June minutes was made by Mark, W3LZK and seconded by Dwight, W4IJY. Passed and July minutes, the motion was made by Tom KE7GBO and seconded by Mark, W3LZK.  Passed.

The Treasurers report presented by Vince as Mark, W4POZ was out of the country.  Starting balance of $1,860.30  with receipts of $20 for dues and $20 for 50/50 and interest on checking of .07 for a total of $40.07.  Disbursements of $249.69 and $94.77, total of $344.46 for an end of month balance of $1,555.92.  AB4AZ moved to accept the report and Mark, W3LZK seconded. Passed.

Correspondence….box rent, bank statement and QSL cards from the Pelican Island event.

Committee….ARES, WA4ASJ reported that last night meeting of the ARES was good, but, they need members, please join.  See Bud for info.

VE report...There were two candidates that took the test and both Pat and George were present at the meeting tonight.  The VEs included Bud, Dwight, W4IJY, Bill, K4CT, Mark, W3LZK, Craig, W4PHJ Richard, KC9GSM and the other Richard, AB4AZ.

No events scheduled. No PIO. And no Sunshine to report.

Old Business…..Harbor Branch no progress so far.

No final Field Day scores yet.

Dwight will try to get handouts for events from ARRL. Dwight also reported that there is no big interest in our own field day event at this time.

It was decided that we would get 2 tables for the Melbourne hamfest scheduled for 10/9-10/2010.  Any member could supply items for the tables under past rules.

There was no new business. K4CT won the 50/50 and donated his money back to the club.  $22 was the total amount.
